Woodnorth Joyce is a small accounting firm which has served the South Canterbury district for well over 20 years. The firm consists of three directors – Grant Taylor, Graham Stoddart and Steve Drummond and a supporting staff base of 14 people.
The firm itself began in 1988 from the merging of McDougall Joyce & Stoddart and PG & PJ Woodnorth. The firm was lead at this time by Peter Woodnorth, Chris Joyce, Grant Taylor and Graham Stoddart, all of whom were partners in the merging firms.
Peter Woodnorth and Chris Joyce remained as directors in Woodnorth Joyce until their retirement in 2006 and 2000 respectively but have both remained as associates in the firm.
Grant Taylor and Graham Stoddart are still directors of Woodnorth Joyce. Steve Drummond joined the firm as a graduate in 1995, stepping into the role of director in 2003.
The leadership of Woodnorth Joyce is not the only thing to have remained in place all these years. There are a number of staff who have served at Woodnorth Joyce for well over a decade, some of whom came to Woodnorth Joyce as part of the merger in 1988.
With the long history of the firm, we have been able to create many longstanding client relationships. Through stability, sound advice and trust many of our client relationships have extended in the second and third generations of their family, and we are very proud of this.
